A Pentecostal house of worship in the heart of Cleveland, Ohio, rooted in prayer, praise, and the preached Word.
Pastor Claude Michael Rollins, Jr. leads Greater Mt. Olivet Church of God in Christ alongside First Lady Diane Rollins, shepherding the congregation in worship, discipleship, and community outreach. He has been recognized at the national level by the Church of God in Christ as a member of the National Adjutancy Corps, an honor reflecting his standing and service within the denomination.
Under his leadership, Greater Mt. Olivet has kept an active focus on reaching beyond its own walls — from youth and family programming to outreach ministries that carry the Gospel into the community, including to those who are incarcerated. Pastor Rollins is known among the congregation for a pastoral heart that is as committed to the individual member as it is to the whole church family.
Greater Mt. Olivet Church of God in Christ has served the Cleveland community as a place of worship, prayer, and fellowship. As part of the Church of God in Christ (COGIC) fellowship, we hold fast to a tradition of holiness, Spirit-filled worship, and service to our neighbors.
Whether you are searching for a church home, visiting for the first time, or returning after time away, you are welcome here. Our doors and our hearts are open to all people.
As a congregation within the Church of God in Christ (COGIC), our faith rests on these core convictions.
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and the final authority for faith and life.
We believe salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ, by grace, through genuine repentance from sin.
We believe in a life set apart unto God, sanctified by His Spirit as a continuing work of grace.
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Ghost, empowering believers for holy living and service.
We practice water baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper in obedience to Christ’s example.
We believe God still heals today, and we pray in faith for the sick and the suffering.
We gather throughout the week for worship, teaching, and prayer. All are welcome to join us.
